KURTI PATTERN -3

This black and white designer kurti is made with printed black & white cotton cloth with beautiful cut work the the lower side.(both front and back).
In this kurti collar has been attached to the neck.
I have taken ½ metre wide crochet lace purchased from market for making the patch.
25 cms white cotton cloth is being used for making the outline of the patch and rest is used for the lining of the back side.

Cutting Instructions:
First of all measure the length of kurti fold the whole cloth ( as cut work is on both sides) cut it into two parts.(vertically). This will make front and back part of kurti. This is very important  because we have to place the cutwork which is on the lower side of the cloth to the the upper side of back part. This is clearly illustrated in this picture.

Take the back side of the cloth measure the length of patch as required by you cut this part from the bottom.  ( preserve small 3” strip  of full width for sleeves.) Place white cotton fabric of same size to make a lining, stitch lining with piece (this will form a patch for back side)and finally stitch the patch with the rest of the cloth of back side.
Place both front and back part. Now make the drafting and cut according to measurements. For cutting instructions please refer to my earlier post HOW TO STITCH KURTA
As far as front part is concerned first cut the shape of neck place crochet lace as illustrated in picture. Take black and white stripes first stitch them together and then cover the patch as shown in design.

In short first of all prepare front part , back part and sleeves. attach shoulders of front and back part., finish the neck and then add the collar, finally attach sleeves and  give fitting to the kurti.

Hope you will find the instructions helpful.

SALWAR KAMEEZ PATTERN-3

This is another suit designed by me. Fabric is of cotton with beautiful embroidered kairi motifs. Salwar(bottom) is of golden color.

Neck is V shaped with golden border is attached to it. Taken from the fabric of kurta two kairi motifs have been attached to the net sleeves, back side of kurta a cloth from salwar has been attached, round neck has been decorated with golden sequins again a kairi has been attached on back, on the joining point thin golden lace has been attached the pattern gives this kurta a readymade look.

Golden dupatta is also decorated with same motifs. The seller had informed me that the fabric of kurta is of pure cotton. it can be dyed to any darker shade in future without spoiling the work and shine of motif.
If you are creative you can design your clothes yourself with less effort

SALWAR SUIT PATTERN: 2

This is also a party wear suilt made from silk sari. With one sari I prepared 2 kurtas (one with full sleeves of net and other is of quarter sleeves.) and one semi patiyala golden salwar(bottom).
In first kurta border patch is attached and in the second one back neck pattern has been made with golden strips and Zari lace.
At the point where border and sleeves are attached a golden & black decorative lace is attached.
Golden piping is attached on neckline.
Pictures are self explanatory.

This is a short kurti, it goes well with black leggings and golden semi patiyala salwar too.

SALWAR SUIT : PATTERN

This is one of the first party wear suit stitched by me. Stitching instructions of salwar and kurta are already given in my previous posts, you can go throught it.

As far as this suit is concerned the pink zari cloth had border on both sides and that is used in front and back neck pattern and dupatta is also decorated with border.
The dori  that has been used in pattern is made of pink cotton cloth, because zari cloth was difficult to handle, as it was stiff. Pink beads have been used alternatively with cloth loops on front pattern. For making cloth loops, stripes of cloth were made, they were ironed and cut into small pieces ,

in the same way on the back neck patterns, small stripes are used and in each stripe , single bead has been insterted and gives a beautiful bow shape.
Pictures are self explanatory , if you are familiar with stitching, seeing the pattern you can follow it.
Finally in dupatta, border is stitched on both ends.
